GALVESTON VIEWS

Created in 1816 by French privateer Michel Aury, Galveston port is today the first port of departure in North America for carribean cruises. Located in the island of Galveston 2 miles off the mainland, it is linked to the continent by a causeway. Galveston is only a 50 miles drive from Houston but it remains a piece of wilderness and quietness in a region in full economic boom. The island has 57,000 inhabitants and offers all the facilities you can find anywhere in a big city including the best hospital-university in Texas but without the fuss and the hassle of a big town.
