VOTOBAMA OR DIE

Monday, January 5th, 2009

obama.jpgBefore the election of November 2008, I made that picture of Democrat running candidate Obama, hoping he would be elected. I put the painting on the window’s sill facing the street and I took a picture that I sent to Le Figaro saying a local artist was thus encouraging the African-American candidate. They published the picture on their site. And Obama was elected.

Regattas in the Gulf
The bay of Houston is so big that ships rarely come off the coast of the island of Galveston. It is a pity we never see a sail off the island except the ones of Elissa once a year.

CRYSTAL BEACH’S REVIVAL

Sunday, January 4th, 2009

Orties du Nevada
The peninsula of Bolivar where there is the little village of Crystal Beach was devastated by Ike : 3600 constructions, houses, offices, schools, were destroyed by the wind and the surge of water which was 18 feet high in some places. Today, four months later, it still looks like a war zone. We used to have a beach house there and it is totally gone as shows the picture below. People still think that Bolivar can make a comeback. I hope so.

Hurricane Ike truck on the 13th.
